It’s International Women’s Day on 8 March – a day to celebrate women’s achievements and champion a gender equal world. It’s important to me that my classes are welcoming and inclusive to all, regardless of gender, age or ability. So I’m happy to support this campaign, and in fact any campaign that builds people up and elevates us as a global community.
Celebrating women
I don’t know about you, but I love to read any media stories about women doing incredible things. And these stories are often featured on International Women’s Day. But this year, I want to hear from YOU about the REAL women in your life that are inspiring you!
I want to hear their stories – let’s give them a shout-out, let’s celebrate, acknowledge and honour these amazing ladies. Perhaps they’ve really shown up for you in a hard time, are smashing it in their work or personal life, or give your life that little bit more sparkle. Big or small, I want to hear about it.
How to take part
Head over to my Instagram or Facebook page and tag a special woman in my International Women’s Day post. Don’t forget to share a short sentence about why they inspire you. They will then be in with a chance of winning a five-class yoga pass which can be used at any of my Monday or Thursday classes in Halifax.
Live outside Calderdale? This competition is still for you! You can nominate across the miles as this prize can be five credits for my online library of over 50 yoga videos too. Nominate far and wide and let this mood-boosting competition elevate the sisterhood.
